Turana Akhundova
Turana Akhundova was born on March 28, 1987, in the city of Ganja.
In 2005, she graduated from Secondary School No. 30 in Ganja. She later earned her degree from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Khazar University and continued her studies through a student exchange program at the University of New Hampshire, USA.
She began her professional career in 2010 at AXA Sigorta ASC. Over the years, she worked as a Claims Management Specialist, Head of Quality Control, and later as Deputy Director of the Insurance Operations Department.
Between 2019 and 2021, she served as Head of the Claims Management Department at Atəşgah Insurance Company.
Since 2021, she has been continuing her professional activity at the Azerbaijan Insurers Association. During this period, she has actively contributed to establishing cooperation with various insurance associations, the Global Federation of Insurance Associations (GFIA), Insurance Europe, and other international partners. She has also played an important role in strengthening the Association’s international relations and expanding its cooperation with international organizations.
Currently, she serves as the Deputy Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Insurers Association. In this role, she coordinates the Association’s daily operations, implementation of strategic initiatives, development of international cooperation, and management of projects aimed at supporting the development of Azerbaijan’s insurance sector.
Turana Akhundova has extensive professional experience in insurance operations, regulatory compliance, quality control, and international cooperation. She also holds numerous local and international certificates in insurance and management.
She is married and has two children.
