"Azerbaijan Insurers Association" Public Union is a non-governmental organization united on the basis of common interests, created on the basis of the principles of voluntariness, legal equality of members, which does not imply income as the main purpose of its activity and does not divide the income obtained among its members. Its activity covers the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The union carries out its activities on the basis of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “on non-governmental organizations (public associations and foundations)”, other normative-legal acts and Charter.

The union was registered in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan on December 29, 2006. Registration number 1106-Q15-2291. The union has an independent building, a seal with its name written on it, a stamp, a settlement account in the banks of the Republic of Azerbaijan and other details.

The main purpose of the union is to assist in the development of insurance and reinsurance companies operating in the Republic of Azerbaijan and members of the Union, to develop their socio - economic, information and other development programs and to increase scientific knowledge in this area. 18 insurance companies operating in the insurance market of Azerbaijan, 1 reinsurance company is a member of "Azerbaijan Insurers Association" PU.

Our mission

AIA’s mission is to ensure the development and sustainability of the insurance sector by demonstrating intellectual leadership, establishing regulatory standards in relations among insurers, enhancing financial literacy, and supporting the development of human capital within the sector. • Intellectual leadership: taking an active role in the improvement of legislation related to the insurance sector and in the development of new projects; proposing innovative and effective regulatory solutions aligned with the needs of the sector. • Regulatory function: establishing a unified “Code of Conduct” to safeguard ethical and professional standards among insurers within the sector and ensuring the implementation of these rules; taking all necessary measures to prevent unfair competition among members. • Representation: carrying out representative activities at both local and international levels to protect and promote the interests of the insurance sector; advancing necessary initiatives to obtain membership in relevant local and foreign organizations and to appoint representatives. • Financial literacy: increasing public awareness of insurance, communicating the essence of insurance mechanisms to a broad audience, and promoting financial literacy; organizing seminars and conferences, and publishing books, journals, and brochures. • Human capital development: enhancing the competencies of the workforce within the sector and supporting the training of qualified professionals required by the industry; defining professional standards for the sector and organizing continuous education and development programs; ensuring the global competitiveness of the workforce in line with international standards; taking measures to foster professional development and supporting scientific research for this purpose.
