Central Bank of Azerbaijan and AIA Participated in the International Insurance Forum Held in Kazakhstan

A delegation comprising the leadership of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Insurers Association participated in the "International Insurance Forum – 2026" organized in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

At the Forum, which hosted nearly 200 participants from around 30 countries—including insurance supervisory authorities, insurance associations, and representatives of professional insurance markets—the Azerbaijani delegation also spoke during the panel discussions.

Vusal Gurbanov, Director General of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, delivered a speech at the panel titled "Strategy 2030: Directions of Legislative Development and Transformation," while Abas Miskarli, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Insurers Association, spoke at the panel titled "Silk Road Insurance Belt: Integration of Turkic World Insurance Markets." They provided detailed information on the reforms implemented in our country's insurance sector, the results achieved, and upcoming priority targets. The insights shared by the Azerbaijani delegation during these panels, which were primarily held in a Q&A format, were received with great interest by the Forum participants.

Within the framework of the respective panels, special attention was paid to the crucial role played by the Turkic World Insurance Association in the development of the insurance markets of Turkic states. The significance of the opportunities created by the Association was emphasized in terms of strengthening mutual cooperation and integration among the insurance markets of member states, expanding the exchange of experience, and implementing joint initiatives. It was also noted that further deepening relations between the insurance sectors of Turkic states will contribute to the development of the regional insurance ecosystem.
