"Azerbaijan Financial Forum" was jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Insurers Association (AIA), Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA), Azerbaijan Microfinance Association (AMFA), Azerbaijan Fintech Association (AzFina) and Azerbaijan Stock Market Participants Association (AFBIA).
The Forum began with an opening speech by Togrul Aliyev, deputy chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Then, at the opening panel, speeches of Asa Supervisory Board Chairman Ulviyya Jabbarova, ABA President Zakir Nuriyev, AMFA Supervisory Board chairman Jalal Aliyev, azfina Board Chairman Ruslan Talibov and Afbia Board Chairman Jeyhun Hajiyev spoke about the current state and development prospects of financial market sectors.
A panel on "Insurance and innovation - new risks, new solutions" moderated by the director of the AIA Training Center, insurance specialist Parviz Guliyev also took place at the forum. The panel includes "Catastrophic risks: the role of insurance and new approaches in reducing overall economic losses" by Rashad Ahmadov, chairman of the Board of Directors of Azerbaijan Industrial Insurance OJSC, "Insurtech: successful adaptation models to changing consumer behaviors" by Anar Samadov, Chief Information Manager of Compulsory Insurance Bureau, "Bancassurance: new business opportunities and development prospects for the insurance sector" by Rustam Mammadov, threats posed by cybercrimes: Minimization of losses by cybersecurity", panel discussions were held.
It should be noted that the main goal of the forum is to reconcile the potential of the financial sector with the development of the economy, strengthen financial intermediation and financial inclusion, eliminate obstacles in this area, as well as accelerate digitalization through the use of innovative technologies, improve legislation and regulations in the financial sector, and on this basis become a platform
